SFNL: Tough task

THIS weekend’s SFNL grand final rematch against Irymple kicks off a strong three-week test for ladder leaders Ouyen United.

After their date at Blackburn Park with the premiers (third), the Kangas then host also-undefeated Imperials and then travel to Red Cliffs (fourth), with co-coach Andy Jardine relishing the challenge.

“All three are in good form and it’s definitely going to be a really big test for us,” he said.

“It’ll be a great test, so really looking forward to the next three weeks to find out where we are at.”

Working against the Kangas is perhaps a lack of match practice, Saturday will be 21 days since their last game, with the interleague break and then a bye round in recent weeks.
