Zara’s blistering debut

PLAYING goal shooter in A Grade netball can be a tall order, but so far Zara Copley has shown she is well equipped for the role.

The 15-year-old debuted for the Demons against Red Cliffs last weekend in the side’s first SFNL A Grade netball win of the season, shooting a career-high 40 goals and injecting some much-needed height into an attack missing reigning Horkings medallist Amy Dodds.

“It was a big change to what I’m used to but it was good,” Copley said.

“It’s a lot faster and a lot more physical than under 15s.”
