MILDURA

ON Tuesday, November 12, the women played stroke for Medalist of the Year.

Mabel Crouch won the daily event with net 69 from runner-up Lynda Saunders on net 73.

Balls: (4) net 69 to net 74.

NTPs: 10th Trentham Estate – Val Whitelaw 280cm, 12th Zilzie Wines – Lynda Saunders 580cm.

The nine-hole stroke event was won by Rhonda Young with net 36 from Fran Thornton with net 39.

On Wednesday the men played a twoperson aggregate Stableford event with Nicholas Cavallo and Vince Pollifrone taking the win with 75 points from runners-up Robert Young and Robin Hubble with 74 points.

Balls: (21) 75 to 66 points on a countback.

NTPs: 1st Pete’s Pure – George Moraitis 83cm, 2nd Pig – Maurice Warn 286cm, 10th Trentham Estate – Chris Szigeti 94cm, 12th Zilzie Wines – Wayne Gill 253cm.

The ladies played an 18-hole par event on Friday with Carla Sherriff on -3 taking the win from Ann Dawes on -4.

Ball: (1) -3.

The TWW/Ransoms Monthly Medal stroke event was played on Saturday and Paul Leonard won A Grade after a countback with Tim O’Neill, both with net 68, with Peter Wildy third on net 69.

B Grade was won by Mathias Moisidis with net 68 from Robert Fuoco on net 69 with Lachlan Smith third with net 71.

Robert Latta won C Grade after a three way countback with David Smith and Robert Huisman, all on net 69.

Balls: (28) net 68 to net 74 on a countback.

NTPs: 1st Pete’s Pure – Robert Pallot 54cm, 2nd Pig – Lachlan Smith 165cm, 12th Zilzie Wines – Joel Doherty 200cm.

Monday’s veterans, visitors and friends Stableford event was won by George Poriazis on 36 points from runner-up Robert Latta on a countback with Chris Szigeti, both on 35 points.

Balls: (4) 35 to 34 points on a countback.

NTPs: 2nd Trentham Estate – Alan Steedman 282cm, 12th Zilzie Wines – Keith Williams 530cm.


RIVERSIDE

CONGRATULATIONS go to Riverside’s Division 2 men’s pennant team who took home the flag on Sunday after a very intense final, which went to a play-off hole.

On Tuesday, November 12, the ladies played a par event with a countback deciding Pat Riordan as the winner in front of Meg Hamence, both finishing on +1.

NTP: 4th – Meg Hamence 980cm.

It was a Stableford event played in two grades for the members and visitors on Wednesday.

Lukas Pedder collected the win in A Grade but not before a countback against Ashley Coates, both with outstanding rounds of 43 points.

The B Grade win went to Travis Jobson with a fine 39 points over Justin Ebbels with 36 points.

Balls: 33 points on a countback.

Thursday was a sensational day for Leonie Nott, blitzing the field with an excellent 40 points, well in front of runnerup Lyn Delmenico on 35 points.

NTPs: Zilzie Wines 4th – Lyn Delmenico 155cm, Red Rooster 12th – Wendy Dawson 170cm, 18th – Roylene Bailey 265cm.

The nine-hole medley Stableford event played on Friday was won by Xavier Erskine, pumping out a massive 27 points.

Mathew Tiley used his luck to grab second place on a countback from Roberto Fuoco and Jayden Grenfell, all on 22 points.

Pat Riordan came out on the right side of a countback, snatching the win in the ladies Stableford on Saturday against Margie Lampard, both finishing with 39 points.

NTPs: Zilzie Wines 4th – Roz Nash 195cm, 7th – Roz Nash 1500cm, Red Rooster 12th – Roylene Bailey 81cm, 18th – Margie Lampard 41cm.

In the men’s Stableford on Saturday, Tuarae Kirirua claimed the win in A Grade with 40 points from runner-up Cooper Mitchell close behind on 39 points.

Matt Piscioneri won B Grade with the assistance of a brilliant hole-in-one on the 4th, with 40 points from runner-up Andre Willis (Robinvale) on 39 points.

The round of the week must go to C Grade winner Jasper Robins after he burnt his way around the course with a magnificent 46 points.

Bradley Missen was declared runner-up after a countback against Gavin Jackson, both with 40 points.

Balls: 35 points on a countback.

Sunday’s medley Stableford A Grade winner was Michael Pitto on a countback from Ryan Fletcher, both with 41 points.

Zack Wilson was the winner in B Grade with 41 points, but runner-up Jace Monaghan had to get the better of two others on a countback with Tom Colbert and Lindsay Mammone, all on 37 points.

NTPs: 12th Geo Origins– Roger Walder 294cm, 15th Drink voucher– Rodney Hand 780cm The ladies played a 3BBB Stableford event with the team of Liz Leach, Karen Bulman and Dee Hopkins winning with 47 points from runners-up Kay Hart, Robyn Hand and Naomi Pitt with 43 points on a countback.

WENTWORTH

THE men’s club championship was played over two rounds and congratulations go to the winner, Howard Hankinson with 145 net.

Runner-up was Bill Slee with 146 net and third was Paul Schmidt on 148 net, followed by Bob Balcomb on 149 net and Max Hodges on 152 net.

The club is looking for more women to join the club and Vicki Appleton is on a recruiting mission.

Sunday’s Stableford event started off in cold, wet and windy conditions which kept a few players away.

Glen Walker had a day out, driving long and straight, chipping in from off the green, sinking long putts and having a lot of luck to finish with 42 Stableford points, to take the win comfortably from runner-up Howard Hankinson on 29 points from third placed Steve Plewinski with 26 points.

NTP: 12th – Glen Walker.

Daniel Plewinski took out the Mr Risky but is improving rapidly.


MERBEIN

LAST Wednesday’s Stableford winner was Shane Cordell with 41 points, a clear winner from runner-up Greg Marshall on 34 points.

Ball: Jim Piper 32 points.

NTP: 3rd Australian Vintage – Stuart Watson 421cm.

Friday’s nine-hole Stableford winner was Lee-Ann Williams with 23 points.

Saturday’s was a par event and Greg Marshall had +4 to win from runner-up Luke McLelland on +2.
