WENTWORTH coach Sam Curran hopes Saturday’s surprise win over reigning premiers Irymple can be the start of bigger things.
The Roos caused the biggest upset of the season so far when they powered home with a seven-goal-to-zip final term to claim a 22-point victory.
Curran said the side’s third win of the year was special for the club and the playing group.
“The way I look at it, you can almost pencil that date in and you might look back on it in 12 months’ time and go, ‘that was the day the players started to believe in their abilities and what we wanted to achieve’,” Curran said.
