BEN Tankard will join Red Cliffs next season in a move which has shocked many in the Sunraysia Football Netball League (SFNL).
Tankard, who was controversially left out of Irymple’s senior grand final side this season, after playing a key role in their thrilling five-point win over Ouyen United in 2017, signed with the Tigers during the week.
The rugged defender has been one of the competition’s elite defenders over the past two seasons and was again named fullback in the SFNL’s 2018 Team of the Year, the second time in as many years he has received the honour.
