AFL Sunraysia’s football academies are gearing up for the season.

Under the tutelage of former Red Cliffs champion Michael Faulkhead (Under 15s), experienced junior coach Michael Malcotti (Under 14s) and former Imperials coach Brad Hards (Under 13s) as head coaches, Sunraysia’s next crop of potential Bendigo Pioneers’ footballers have been training hard in preparation for the Under 13 and Under 14 Academy Challenge hosted by AFL Central Murray next month and the Under 15 Academy trials at Red Cliffs in July.

Faulkhead will be assisted in his role by Marty Scott and Geoff Stevens – who is also the academy coaching co-ordinator, Malcotti will have Tansley Hill as an assistant coach and Hards will have his younger brother Colby and Mark Stevens assisting.
