Matt Dea shines in Essendon VFL return

FORMER Imperials footballer Matt Dea impressed in the VFL in his first hitout of 2019 on Saturday as he looks to win a spot back in the Bombers’ AFL side.

Coming back from a knee injury, Dea (pictured) collected 14 touches, 10 of those kicks, in Essendon’s 94-point win over North Melbourne on Saturday.

Bombers VFL coach Dan Jordan was happy with Dea’s output.
