On Wednesday, January 8, a medley Ambrose in twos will be played.
Thursday is Junior Holiday Golf (open to all juniors 5-18 years, equipment provided if needed), $5 for non members, $3 members, 8.30am start, sessions run for approximately 90 minutes with three, six and nine hole options depending on age and skill levels, plus novelty events.

MILDURA
ON Saturday, December 28, a medley Stableford event was played for venue vouchers.
Nick Katis won A Grade with 40 points from runner-up Lee Tucker on a countback with Robert Young, both on 39 points.
Will Anderson was a clear winner in B Grade with 44 points from runner-up Mathew Austin on 41 points from third placed Andy Stanbrook with 40 points.
Shane Maddren bltized the field in C Grade with a scintilating 48 points from runner-up Jonathan Villiva with an oustanding 45 points from third placed David Smith on 42 points.
Balls: (31) 48 to 36 points on a countback.

The Vets, visitors and friends Stableford competition played on Monday, December 30, was won by Lochie McLaughlan with an extraordinary 49 points from runner-up Nicholas Rodi with 40 points from third placed Andy Stanbrook on a countback from Steven Scullino, both on 39 points.
Balls: (4) 49 to 34 points on a countback.
The ladies played Stableford on Tuesday, December 31, with Christine Hartley taking out the nine-hole event with 17 points on a countback from runner-up Aileen Norton.
Tracy Katis took out the 18-hole event with 40 points from runner-up Michelle Blair on 39 points.

Trevor Spanos started the New Year with a bang by winning the A Grade Stableford event last Wednesday with 39 points from runner-up Jeff Giddings on 39 points from third placed Andy Stanbrook with 38 points.
B Grade winner was Wayne Mayne with 38 points from Keith Williams on 37 points from third placed Newton Morrison with 36 points on a countback.
Balls: (31) 39 to 34 points on a countback.

The ladies played an 18-hole Stableford event on Friday, with Susan Newstead taking the win on 33 points from runner-up Kerry Harris with 32 points.
Saturday was a medley stroke event for the TWW/Ransoms Monthly medal.
Nick Katis won A Grade on a countback from Robert Morgan, both on net 70, with Tim O’Neill third with net 71.
Henry Hartmann was a clear winner in B Grade with net 67 points from runner-up Bruce Dickie on net 70 with Grant Beggs third with net 71.
C Grade was won by Michelle Blair with net 69 from runner-up Philip Hand on net 71 with Patrick McLaughlan third on net 72.
Balls: (29) net 67 to net 75 on a countback.
NTPs: 2nd Pig – Greg Love 642cm, 12th Zilzie Wines – Phillip Green 217cm.
Robert Pallot cleaned up the TWW eagles nest with an eagle two on the 9th hole, collecting 11 balls.
RIVERSIDE
THE first day of the New Year last Wednesday was a Stableford event which required three grades.
Oliver Zambelli put together a very fine round of 38 points to take out A Grade, just one shot in front of a group of four players all on 37 points.
Josh Fleming had the best back nine to snare the runner-up award from Jason Zambelli, Craig Jervis and Alan Gourlay.
A countback for the B Grade placings was also needed when three players came in with 36 points.
Michael Wade took out the win from runner-up Jarrod McGlashan with Andrew Diwell third.
Jack Hibberd had 39 points to take the C Grade event over runner-up Chris Romeo on 38 points.
Balls: 34 points on a countback.
Davison Mibindi used his skills to play three perfect shots on the par five 14th hole finishing with an eagle.
NTPs: Zilzie Wines 4th – Jason Zambelli 22cm, 7th – Garry Swallow 150cm, 12th Tony Coppola, 18th – Michael Cooper 192cm.
The ladies Stableford on Thursday was won by Salli Fox with 36 points from runner-up Lyn Delmenico one shot further back with 35 points.

Friday’s medley Stableford was won by Patrick Gray with 23 points from runner-up Michael Pitto on a countback with Jordan McBain (The Vines Country Club), both on 22 points.
Balls: 18 points.
It was Stableford for the ladies on Saturday and Lyn Delmenico stepped up to take the win after a countback with Wendy Dawson, both on 35 points.
NTPs: Zilzie Wines 4th – Wendy Dawson 520cm, 12th – Lisa Garioch 85cm, 18th – Lyn Delmenico 98cm.
It was three grades again for the men’s Stableford on Saturday and Kendall Marchment took out A Grade with 38 points from Joe Morello (Mildura Golf Club) in second place on 37 points.
Roberto Fuoco’s 37 points was enough to win B Grade in front of runner-up Andrew Diwell on 36 points, but not before a countback with Daniel Vrselja (Northern Golf Club) and Brent Smith.
Benjamin Ave played a solid round in C Grade to win with 39 points in front of runner-up Gary Van Steenis on 38 points.
Balls: 33 points on a countback.

In Sunday’s medley Stableford Frank Taperell completed his round with the best score of the week, a fabulous 41 points, to comfortably take out the A Grade win over runner-up Zac Martin on 38 points.
B Grade went down to a countback with Oliver Cooper just pipping Wendy Dawson, both ending their rounds on 40 points.
Balls: 35 points on a countback.
Scott Webster scored an eagle on the par five 14th hole.

RED CLIFFS
A MEDLEY Stableford was held last Wednesday with a total of 69 golfers participating in the New Year’s Day competition.
Ganon Bettess emerged victorious in A Grade with an impressive score of 38 points narrowly beating runner-up Craig Douglass who finished with 37 points.
B Grade was won by Michael Englefield on 35 points from runner-up on a countback Michael Morrall.
Charlie Goldup won C Grade with 45 points from runner-up Robert Chase with 29 points.
Balls: Angelo Ganz, Gary Nunn, and Shayne Dempsey.
NTPs: 3rd – Sheryl Blagus (234cm), 8th – Ganon Bettess (187cm), 12th – Roger Walder (Lucky Dip 223cm), 15th – Jill Gleeson (Red Cliffs Bakery 55cm), 16th – Felix Visser (J.Gooch ball 350cm), 17th – Jill Gleeson (Bread & Butter 55cm), 18 – Ganon Bettess (Drummond Golf 930cm).
Last Saturday the fourth round of the medley Stableford series was played with 63 golfers taking to the course.
Matthew Forward clinched A Grade with 41 points from runner-up Malcolm Blagus with 40 points.
B Grade was won by Charlie Goldup with 42 points with Matt Bailey securing second place with 41 points.
C Grade honors went to Paul Legg on 33 points followed by Mark Harbottle with 31 points.
