Footballer of the week: Curtis a veteran before his time

IN a tough year for a developing South Mildura outfit, Tyler Curtis has been a shining light.

Coming second in the Bland Medal with 37 goals, in the ninth-placed team that has won only two games to date and has scored about 100 points less than the team ranked immediately above them on the ladder, the former Williamstown and Coburg VFL big man has done his individual credentials no harm.

In his second year back at the club that gave him his Senior football debut nine years ago, Curtis credited a move back to Mildura full time as the catalyst for his spike in form.
