Ouyen United win SFNL A grade premiership

Ouyen United have won their first SFNL A grade netball premiership after defeating Wentworth in a tight grand final by four goals.

The Kangas led 23-19 after the first half and expanded on that lead in the third quarter, which ended with scores 37-31.

In front of a vocal City Oval crowd, the Roos cut the deficit to as little as four goals in the final term.

But that would be as close as they could get, the Kangas keeping their nerve to secure a 48-44 win.

Casey Crothers was awarded the best on court medal.
