STRONG fields turned out for the opening round of junior tennis at the Mildura Lawn Tennis Club.
In the boys competition, eight sections were in action while there was four in the girls’.
Jasper Robbins began his season with a win in the top junior boys’ division and Renee Affleck took the honours from Alana Wall in junior girls.
The senior competition in the afternoon saw Chloe Barker win senior ladies’ division one on 23/10 from Natalie Thomas 23/12.
In the men’s division one, Xavier Kendall made it successive wins with Geoff Schuler second.
