Rain calls off first week of SCA round 8

ROUND eight of the Sunraysia Cricket Association will revert to a one day fixture this Saturday after rain forced the cancellation of the weekend’s play.

Saturday was meant to be day one of the SCA’s first two-day round however rain throughout the day along with some lightning in the morning forced the association to call the day’s play off.

The Red Cliffs Cricket Association also made the decision to cancel the round, while Timmis Speedway’s feature Col Beasley Classic did not take place because of the adverse conditions.

Details of any possible speedway ­rescheduling were not available on Sunday.
