Sales effort is a winner for Mildura woman

By Jess Malcolm
MILDURA woman Terri Zaccone has been recognised as the Just Group’s best salesperson in Australia for her work at Smiggle at Mildura Central.

It is the highest award given to an individual by the group, the owner of Smiggle and a speciality retailer employing more than 9000 people.

“I was really surprised, considering I’ve only worked there two years I really wasn’t expecting it,” Ms Zaccone said.

After Ms Zaccone finished among five finalists for the award last year, her regional manager put her name forward again.

The main criteria for the award was for an employee who showed “consistent sales performances” and “exceptional customer connection”.

For Ms Zaccone, the best part of the job is being able to connect with people on a daily basis, through helping people in the store find exactly what they needed while working with her team.

“The best thing about the job is connecting with customers, just having a chat to people,” she said.

After being employed part-time, she has now been promoted to store manager.

“I’m really excited, it’s an honour.”
