RED Cliffs Secondary College will play off in the grand final of the Intermediate (Year 9-10 boys) Cricket Blast Secondary School Cup on Monday.
The game will be played in Melbourne at Cricket Victoria’s CitiPower Centre, between the winner out of Eastern region semi finalists Waverley Christian College v Lavalla College, who play this morning in their semi-final.
The team consists of Seamus Keogh, Bailey Anderson, Jed Connelly, Oskar Faulkhead, Jack Baird, Chris D’Amico, Tanner Clancy, Zane Hunt, Hudson Moule
To reach this point the RCSC boys defeated Coomealla, Irymple Secondary and Trinity Lutheran before defeating St Josephs in the Sunraysia final to go to the regional stage, where they beat Ballarat in the western region final after also playing against Monivae College (Hamilton) and Horsham College.
It is the fourth year the team has won through to regional finals but the furthest they have progressed.
The team travelled down to Melbourne on Sunday after most of its players completed duties with Sunraysia’s Under 17s Junior country week team.
