COLES shoppers in Mildura won’t face buying limits during their next visit to the supermarket after the company lifted all product restrictions from Tuesday.
Restrictions on 24 items including rice, pasta, flour and toilet paper were put in place in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Antibacterial wipes and liquid soap are the final products to have limits for each buyer removed, following the lifting of restrictions on rice and flour last week.
A Coles spokeswoman said the business was aware it had been a challenging time for many.
“We hope having no buying restrictions on these every day products will help make life easier for our customers,” she said.
“We would like to thank our customers for their ongoing patience and our team for their incredible work to help us reach a new normal in shopping.
“We are also grateful to our suppliers and logistics partners who helped restock our shelves and the state and federal governments who helped us to get deliveries to stores as quickly as possible during the height of the crisis.”
The spokeswoman said it remained important that everyone continued to work together and follow government guidelines in stores to maintain social distancing.
“The safety of our team and customers remains our biggest focus as we continue to get through this together as a community,” she said.
