Funeral service for train

Sunraysia residents will receive a pamphlet within the next two days urging them to join the fight to keep a passenger train service to the district.

Next Friday’s symbolic funeral ceremony for the dead train will coincide with the official launch of round two of the fight to keep a passenger train service between Mildura and Melbourne, according to the Saving the Vinelander Action Group.

Organisers have asked all residents to attend the peaceful protest which will assemble in Langtree Mall at 12.30pm and then proceed to the Mildura Rail Station.
