LAST Wednesday was Stableford for Christmas vouchers for the men and the winner was Phil Maw with 43 points. Runner-up was Ross Bowen with 41.
NTPs were: Mark Woodhouse (third, 610), Greg Rhodes (seventh, 91), Craig Tung (11th, six) and Tim Vandenberg (18th, 398).
The ladies’ Stableford winner was Kate Murdoch (36). Runner-up: Nia Whittle (35). Third: Frann Sette (33).
NTPs were: Murdoch (third, 50), Whittle (seventh, 245), Adel Dal Corobbo (11th, 350) and Michelle Blair (18th, 258).
Friday was a medley nine-hole Stableford. Winner: Greg Rhodes (20). Runner-up: Peter Duscher (19).
NTPs were: Rhodes (11th, 831) and Ross Robertson (18th, 632).
Saturday was stroke monthly medal. The A Grade winner was S.V. Turaki with 66. Runner-up: Keegan Blows (68). Third: Vince Dichiera (69).
B Grade winner was: Col Pulham (68). Runner-up: John Burgess (69). Third: Rod Appleby (71).
NTPs were: Ross Robertson (third, 771), Paul Matthews (seventh, 96), Craig Gursansky (11th, 155) and Tim Knight (18th, 400).
Salli Fox won the ladies’ event with 36 points. Runner-up was Whittle (35) on a countback from Maureen Bailey.
NTPs were: Jodene Tuau (third, 28), Bailey (seventh, 400, and 11th, 103) and Lee Bottomley (18th, 65).
Sunday was medley Stableford. The winner was Evan Tranter (40). Runner-up: David Martin (38).
NTPs were: Sandy Waters (seventh, 352) and Shane Trinick (11th, 296, and 18th, 510).
RIVERSIDE
RIVERSIDE’S Veteran and Friends Stableford on November 30 saw Ned Klemm come in with a winning score of an excellent 40, in front of Brian Young (38).
The 18-hole Stableford for the ladies on Tuesday was won by Lorraine Palmer after she posted 36 points. Kaye Ballantyne had a nice 18 points for her win in the nine-hole comp over Carol Benning (16).
A countback was needed in A Grade on Wednesday with Ash Robinson on top, from Bruce Liddell, both on 38 points.
Kevin Eastwood had a good round of 36 in B Grade to win and runner-up Ken Hornsby had to wait for a countback against Jimmy Stephens, after they finished on 34 each.
Ben Bamborough left on a high note after his eagle on the par-five 14th.
It was stroke for the ladies on Thursday and Heather Klemm put together a nice round of (94-74) in front of Karyn Scheer (89-75).
Meg Hamence had the best score in the nine-hole event (52-38).
Friday’s medley Stableford saw Ray Cottle’s 21 points give him the win with Peter Emmett (20 points) runner-up after a countback against Robert Lexa.
Saturday’s weather was pretty shocking, but didn’t deter some from hitting the fairways.
Chitra Rankin posted 35 points and a comfortable win in the ladies’ Stableford.
It was monthly medal for the men in three grades.
Despite the galeforce winds and rain Steve Wilmann still punched out an amazing 72 off the stick for a 73 net to win A Grade from Simon Dale (82-74).
Reece Godfrey played a great game to win B Grade on (83-71), over Keegan Lee (89-73).
The score of the day came in C Grade from Mark Tregeagle (97-69), with second place going to Joseph Ryan (100-70).
Andrew Thomas had a lovely round of 38 points on Sunday to win.
Runner-up went the way of Marty Scott, but not before a countback with Andrew Woodcock, both on 37.

RED CLIFFS
ON Wednesday we had a good field of 62. With 38 points Keith Rogers was the winner in A Grade from Jill Gleeson on 34.
B Grade winner was Noel Douglas (33) from Geoff Smith (32). In C Grade, Sandy Wright (32) held on to win from Jenny McCoy (31).
NTPs were: Noel Douglass and Bobbie Ramsay (eighth), Michael Morrall (12th) and Deb Hassell (15th).
Saturday was medley stroke for the monthly medal.
In A Grade, the winner was Jill Gleeson on 70 net from Faye Englefield (71).
Don Fiorillo was the B Grade winner on 73 from Sandy Wright (75).
NTPs were: Tom Minns (fifth), Julie McEwan and Daryl Morgan (eighth), Julianne Wood (ninth), Jill Gleeson and Mark Collett (12th), Englefield (15th) and Steve Farley (17th).
Sunday will be our Christmas gathering featuring a three-person Ambrose with a 9.30am shotgun start followed by lunch.
WENTWORTH
TUESDAY’S Potty Run was convincingly won by newcomer Cookie with +1.

Thursday’s Stableford went down to the wire with Glen Walker (34) winning on countback from Bill Slee.
NTP was Howard Hankinson (second, 600). Mr Risky went to the improving Jeff Woodroffe with 18 points.
Sunday’s stroke round went to Hankinson on 72 net. Howard has improved his handicap by one stroke. Runner-up was Slee (73).
NTP was Paul Reardon (12th, 1000). Mr Risky went to “The Phantom” Glen Walker with 87 net.
People who hire carts are responsible for any damage to the cart and are expected to return them in a clean condition.
VETERANS
MONDAY’S district veterans single Stableford at the Mildura Golf Resort was contested by 58 players.
The weather was unexpectedly cool and wet but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the big field.
In A Grade, the winner was Mark Woodhouse, who scored 39 points, with George Poriazis in second (38). In B Grade, Peter Gilmour (43) won comfortably ahead of Jimmy Stephens (34).
NTPs were: Peter Dooley (second), David Lloyd (10th) and Keith Williams (12th).
After the presentations we held our Christmas raffle and welcomed new members.
We had an opportunity to thank outgoing president Kevin Jones for his work. He shared one last story before handing over the reins to Ron Leamon.
Once again the club received our thanks as we enjoyed a great meal and service after the game.
The association will be taking its summer break and the next event will be held on March 1 when we return to the Mildura Golf Resort for a 4BBB Stableford game.
MILDURA
THE Mildura ladies played single Stableford nine or 18 holes on December 1.
Elaine Henshall scored 20 points to win the nine-hole competition.
In the 18-hole event, Valerie Whitelaw (35) won on countback from Carol Zimmerman. Susan Walmsley was third (34).
NTPs were: Rhonda Young (first, 700, and 12th, 1000 and Mabel Crouch (second, 425, and 10th, 217).
The men’s stroke event on November 2 was in two grades. Robert Briggs won A Grade with 69 net, from Keith Williams (70 ) and Mick Killeen (70).
Terry Buckingham had the best net score of the day, 67, to win B Grade from Chippa Kolpin (68) and David Whitelaw (69).
NTPs were: Thomas Ferguson (first, 290), John Simpson (second, 220) but Trevor Rogers entered and won the pig prize (581), Steven Fumberger (10th, 263) and John Edwards (12th, 280).
The twilight competition on December 4 was dominated by the ladies with Valerie Whitelaw and Elaine Henshall both scoring 20 points to finish first and second respectively.
Frank Tippett and Ruth Rodi were third and fourth on 19 points each.
The men’s monthly medal stroke event on Saturday was in three grades.
The A Grade winner was Philip Adam (71) from George Glasheen (72) and Graeme Polkinghorne (73).
Gavin Harrington had the best net score of the day (68) to win B Grade from Jason Hartley and Cliff Ferguson (both 73).
Allan McAskill scored 69 to win C Grade from Fred Stewart (71) and Eric Bruton (72).
NTPs were: Cesare Fraiia (first, 80), George Glasheen (second, 248 – which also won the pig prize), Les Williams (10th, 340) and David Murray (12th, 94).

LAST Wednesday’s stroke round winner was T. Fitzpatrick with 70 from G. Chapman (72).
NTPs were: F. Zambito (third, 305, 12th, 380, and 18th, 870), K. Matulic (sixth, 44) and R. Walder (16th, 320).
Saturday saw a small field enter for the day and due to the weather more than half did not finish.
Well done to those that did.
Winner was M. Turvey (74) on countback from A. Rudd.
NTP was: R. Walder (12th, 720).
