Merbein South v Coomealla Wentworth

Last time out: Merbein South were well beaten by Workers Gol Gol while Coomealla Wentworth had a tough loss to Mildura East.
Changes: Merbein South bring in paceman Cam Holland and batsman Ash Durie for Josh Carmichael and Ilario Cavallo. Coomealla Wentworth remain as selected from last week.
Ones to watch: Hamim Miah got a couple of starts before the enforced break and has the potential to put together a score for Merbein South, while Matt Job started the season with a vital innings against Workers Gol Gol followed by failing to score in his other two innings so is due.
The word: Coomealla Wentworth have made strides forward this season overall and are the poster child in the SCA for young developing teams coming good with a bit of continuity. They should be too strong for a team a couple of hours behind on the development clock.
Irymple v Mildura East

Last time out: Irymple had a comfortable win over Nichols Point in their last game before the two week weather break, while Mildura East accounted for Coomealla Wentworth in fine style.
Changes: David Filippi comes in for Irymple from last week’s selected side, with Mitch Roads out. East have switched in Gagandeep Singh for Vick Singh from the side that started the match against Nichols Point last weekend.
Ones to watch: The inside word is Irymple debutant Jack Baird, who gets a second crack at his first game following last week’s cancellation, is a bit of a wizard with the ball so keep an eye on the young leggie. Zane Hunt made a brilliant start in his one over last week, knocking over Nichols Point coach Shaun Mathews first ball, and could be a surprise packet in an already promising young East pace attack.
The word: Irymple are one of the top sides in the competition and look on paper like they should be headed to a comprehensive win. A lot hinges on East’s performance with the bat because they won’t have it easy against the Swallows’ attack.
Mildura West v Nichols Point

Last time out: Nichols Point had a disappointing loss to Irymple in their last game played while Mildura West saw Settlers chase their total down with seven wickets and five overs in hand.
Changes: Nichols Point regain Matt Boyd and Tyson Giles for Anthony Morris and Will Liddle from last week’s selected side. West are unchanged.
Ones to watch: Tyson Giles had worked himself into form before the break for the Point and has come along well over the season. For West, young paceman Locke
Thornton is a likely type and against a Pointers top order which wasn’t firing last couple of times they played.
The word: A hard one to pick with two outfits at similar levels. Home ground advantage perhaps tips it in West’s favour.
