FOUR years ago Tiffany Riddle had plans to open a food truck in her hometown back in France, fast forward to the present and she is only weeks away from opening a jewellery business in Mildura.
A chance meeting with a stranger had Tiffany leave behind her dreams and move to Australia on a more permanent basis.
“I had wanted to travel and having previously worked as a chef I wanted to save money by backpacking then move home to open a food truck but then I met my now husband,” she said.
“I wanted to change my life but didn’t know what to do.
“It was while trying to find myself that I discovered my love for macramé jewellery making.”
It was through a friend that Tiffany was first introduced to the craft.
“I just love to make and create and enjoy mixing the colours,” she said.
“I initially was only doing it for friends but then they all started asking why I hadn’t opened a shop already.”
While she hasn’t yet had any items available to purchase, Tiffany has big plans for the future.
“I would love for it to become a full time business but I do know it will be hard for that to happen,” she said.
“I have started with necklaces, earrings and bracelets but like to move to more accessories including hair pieces, key rings and bags.
“I can’t wait to start my new business life and really want to enjoy it.”
