SRS General Store market

The General Store at SRS Benetook Farms – 5.30pm-9pm

THE latest addition to Sunraysia’s market calendar offers a variety of unique creations and local crafts alongside antiques, collections, upcycled items and refurbished furniture. The market’s location also gives visitors the added bonus of experiencing the farm’s sights and activities.

Twilight Social Tennis

Robinvale Lawn Tennis Club – 5.45pm-9pm

EVERYONE is welcome to try out tennis. There’s no need to bring a team, or even a racquet – just ask to borrow one. It’s also a great way to meet people and find a match, with players of all calibres joining in the fun.

Roving Performers

Mildura City Heart – 6pm-late

PEOPLE out and about in Mildura this weekend should keep their eyes and ears peeled for some local musicians. A range of bands and performers will be scattered throughout the city centre and the riverfront precinct from daytime until late every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

With One Voice Choir

Sunraysia Community Health Services – 6pm-7.30pm

HEAD along to this inclusive choir session, where no auditions or experience are necessary.

Saturday

Mildura Weir parkrun

Opposite Rio Vista Park – 8am-noon

PARKRUN is on every Saturday morning and open to anyone. The timed 5km course suits most skill levels and all participants are welcome to grab a coffee afterwards. Parkrun is free, but please register online at parkrun.com.au/milduraweir.

Brekkie with the Friends

Australian Inland Botanic Gardens – 8am-noon

ENJOY a delicious breakfast cooked by AIBG’s team of volunteers accompanied by live entertainment, then follow it up with a wander around to look at all the gardens have to offer. Tractor-train rides will be running to take you around all the sights.

Sprintcar Allstars, Vegas Street Stock Feature and more

Timmis Speedway – 7pm-10.30pm

THE Sprintcars are back in Mildura for 2021, for round 5 of the Australian Sprintcar Allstars series. It’s a great night out for the whole family. Gates open at 5pm, with the main event kicking off at 7pm.

Sunday

Mildura RC February Club Day

Mildura RC Car Club, Aero Ovals – 9am-4pm

MILDURA’S own remote control car club is kicking the year into gear with the February edition of its 2021 Club Series, with a range of one-tenth-scale electric buggies and trucks taking to the track. There will be open practice and qualifying rounds in the morning before finals in the afternoon. A barbecue lunch and refreshments will also be available trackside. Anyone keen to try RC racing is welcome to head along – the club can even organise a loan car for newcomers if needed.

The Tournament: A Day Without Knights

No.3 Oval – 9am-11.30am

JOIN Sunraysia Swordcraft’s live action role-players for a morning of medieval magic. A wealthy and powerful lord has captured Sir Aiden Kelvar. He has sent word to Bracken challenging all who can fight to a tournament for the chance to free Sir Aiden. There is a 20-player limit, so get in early to secure a place in the tournament.
