EVERYONE is welcome to try out tennis. There’s no need to bring a team, or even a racquet – just ask to borrow one. It’s also a great way to meet people and find a match, with players of all calibres joining in the fun.

Roving Performers

Mildura City Heart – 6pm-late

PEOPLE out and about in Mildura this weekend should keep their eyes peeled and ears open for local musicians. A range of bands and performers will be scattered throughout the city centre and the riverfront precinct from daytime until late every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

With One Voice Choir

Sunraysia Community Health Services – 6pm-7.30pm

HEAD to this inclusive choir session, where no auditions or experience are necessary.

Kidney Kids Walk

Wentworth Wharf – 7am

THIS 35km walk from Wentworth to Mildura brings the community together to raise awareness and funds to support children with kidney disease through Kidney Health Australia’s National Kidney Kids Programs. Opposite Rio Vista Park – 8am-noon

PARKRUN is on every Saturday morning and is open to anyone. The timed 5km course suits most skill levels and all participants are welcome to grab a coffee afterwards. Parkrun is free, but please register online at parkrun.com.au/milduraweir.

Sunraysia Farmers Market

Jaycee Park – 8am-noon

HELD on the banks of the picturesque Murray River, the farmers’ market offers a bounty of produce from local growers and makers, with everything from fresh veg and dried fruit to baked goods and breakfast.

ServiceNSW Mobile Service Centre

Buronga Australia Post carpark – 9.30am-12.30pm

NEW government services will be brought to the community this weekend, with staff available to help with frequently used services such as driver knowledge tests, birth, death and marriage certificates, working with children checks and driver’s licence applications and renewals.

Mildura Skate Park Comp

Mildura Skate Park – 10am-3pm

Get Your Blues and Brews On

Lock 11 Lawns – 1pm-8.30pm

MILDURA’S own blues festival is back, with a bunch of bands set to feature in a great afternoon of music set on the banks of the Murray. John-Luke Shelley and Friends, Stefan Hauk Trio, Anna Scionti Band, Bill Barber and The Revelators and local duo Old Dogs New Tricks will all offer fresh takes and old favourites, while a range of food vans will be onsite with beer and cocktails available. Games Night

Mildura Church of Christ – 4pm-9.30pm

SUNRAYSIA Tabletop Gamers are opening up the club to the community for a games night this weekend. People are encouraged to bring along their favourite games to play. Cost is $5 cash per person and a small canteen will be provided.

Timmis Speedway – 5pm-late

RACE fans are in for a treat when the Dirt Modified Championships take to the track tonight. Gates open at 5pm with racing set to start at 7pm.

Olympic Park Speedway – 5.30pm-late

MERBEIN’S main street comes alive on the third Sunday of each month, with stalls from local and interstate vendors selling fresh produce, arts and crafts, bric-a-brac, food and lots more.

Ouyen Pacing Cup

Blackburn Park – 11.30am

THIS year marks the 60th anniversary of Ouyen’s big day of racing. There will be 11 races on the day, with the first to leave he gates at 11.50am. There will be fun for all the family, with free children’s entertainment and food and drink available.
