MILDURA is proving to be the place to be this Easter with “not an inch of grass left” at the All Seasons Holiday Park Mildura.
Thousands of visitors arrived to the region this week, ready to enjoy the “perfect holiday weather”.
Already making the most of Sunraysia’s fine and sunny weather and the water facilities at the caravan park was the Carrolan family from Melbourne, who arrived on Wednesday.
“Daniel often comes up here for work and could see how good the park would be for the kids as well as how much other things there is to do around here,” Brooke Carrolan said of her husband.
Daniel added “the weather for starters was a drawcard and the facilities at All Seasons; the jumping castle, waterslide, scooters and bikes and I liked that we didn’t have to fly to get here”.
“The kids have just loved it, they were asking to get into the pool as soon as they woke up.”
Attracting Sunbury couple Alison and Travis Scott and their two boys Ethan and Lincoln to Mildura was initially the Mildura 100.
“We wanted to come for the ski race but even after that was cancelled we wanted to come up as we knew it was always nice weather,” Alison said.
“We then found out about the speedway, drags and Show and Shine so we plan to have a full on weekend.
“The kids are going to love it, I am quite excited for them to experience the atmosphere with them having never been to the speedway or drags.”
For Melbourne couple Deb Collins and Chris Oehme, a trip to Mildura is an annual tradition.
“We love that we can just pull up and can walk to whenever we need to, we particularly love going to the Mildura Gateway Tavern,” Ms Collins said.
“It’s a great place to go for a break and not having to think about what is going on at home.”
Mr Oehme added: “Over the years we have done a lot of the tourist (attractions) and enjoy visiting the wineries and catching up with a local friend.”
All Seasons Holiday Park Mildura owner Jodie Bromley said visitors had arrived predominantly from regional Victoria and South Australia.
“Not an inch of grass is left, which is fantastic,” she said.
“We have the perfect holiday weather expected this weekend and Mildura is just booming, people are really wanting to come here, which is very positive.
“Mildura has a tropical Queensland feel about it but it only takes 500km to get here from the city.”
Ms Bromley expects from the feedback she has received that tourism in Mildura will continue to thrive over the next few years.
