MALLEE District Aboriginal Services’ vaccination clinic has been cleared as a potential COVID-19 exposure site.
In a statement, MDAS said it had been notified by the Department of Health on Tuesday night.
The department advised that the vaccination clinic in the former CFA building in Orange Avenue, Mildura, had potentially been visited by a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
MDAS said all staff at the vaccination clinic and health clinic were tested and returned negative results.
The department has confirmed the MDAS vaccination clinic is not a COVID-19 exposure site and was given the all-clear to re-open at 1pm on Wednesday.
All appointments scheduled for Wednesday morning were rescheduled to next Monday.
“MDAS would like to reassure all community members the MDAS vaccination clinic is a safe place to be”, the statement read.
Dan Murphy’s Mildura was listed as a tier 2 exposure site on Wednesday night. Anyone who visited between 3pm-3.35pm on Friday, September 3 should get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
The bottle shop is the only exposure site in Sunraysia and no more are expected to be added.
