LAST Saturday was the final week of junior summer tennis at Red Cliffs Lawn Tennis Club and the club invited Mildura Lawn juniors to join them in a celebration of summer tennis.

Junior organisers, Rob Keens (Red Cliffs) and Louise Olofsson (Mildura), were both delighted with the turn out and while the weather was against them, the players enjoyed some well-matched and exciting tussles.

Mildura Lawn juniors will continue until Easter when juniors and seniors alike will have the opportunity to pit their skills against locals and visitors at the annual Mildura Easter Tournament.

Entries close Friday, April 4, and can be accessed on the Mildura Lawn Tennis Club website.

Junior tennis doesn’t stop however as the winter season begins Saturday, May 2, with a come and try day at Mildura Lawn.

Players from A grade to beginners can register for competition, play hot shots on the day or contact club organisers to start their tennis journey.
