COOMEALLA

THE final rounds of the Coomealla Golf Club Championships have been postponed due to COVID restrictions, with new dates to be confirmed.

Last Wednesday was men’s monthly mug Stableford was won in A Grade by Ed Parker on 40 points on countback from Stan Prymke and Ryan Samaras (36).

B Grade was won by Tim Vandenberg (38) from Dale Stafford (37) and Col Pulham (36) while Dylan Bottams (41) took out C Grade from Greg Murphy (38) and Pat Murphy (37).

NTPs were: Greg Murphy (third, 175), Graeme Burrows (seventh, 300), Alan Scorer (11th, 170) and Aaron Blake (18th, 220). Justin McPhee shot an eagles on the 12th.

Wednesday was also the second round of the women’s Club Championships and won by Robyn Hand (72) on countback from Adel Dal’Corobbo.

NTPs were: Nia Whittle (third, 43), Madeline Jukes (seventh, 38, and 11th, 111) and Kaylene Geddes (18th, 65).

Friday’s medley nine-hole Stableford was won by Sonya Golitschenko from Ashley Garlett, both on 21 points.

NTPs were: Greg Rhodes (11th, 680) and Ross Robertson (18th, 1028).

Justin Clay won Saturday’s men’s A Grade Stableford with 39 points, ahead of Benjamin Pitt and Carmelo Lando on 35.

Ashley Garlett (41) took out B Grade ahead of John Horkings (37) and Terry Albion (36).

NTPs were: Thorell Lees (third, 660), Albion (seventh, 198), David Martin (11th, 495) and Ilker Deli (18th, 550).

Jackie Horkings (37) took out the ladies’ Stableford from Sally McOrist (34).

NTPs were: Kylie Walters (third, 118, and 11th, 113), Sharon Morrell (seventh, 115) and Robyn Hand (18th, 155).

Sunday’s medley Stableford was won by Allison Thompson (43) from Jayden Brooks (36).

NTPs were: Nicholas Cottrell (seventh, 450) and David Martin (18th, 14).

Coming events: Today: Stableford: Friday: Medley nine-hole Stableford. Saturday (competition subject to change due to COVID): American Foursomes Championships. Sunday: Medley Stableford.

WENTWORTH

THURSDAY’S Stableford saw ‘The Phantom’ Walker (Glen) return to the winner’s list with a well compiled 36. Runner-up yet again was the wily Bill Murray (35).

NTP was: Murray (17th, 390). Mr Risky went to Howard Hankinson (28).

Sunday’s stroke round went Col Stewart (75), closely followed by Ged Chapman (77).

NTP was: Chapman (12th, 730). Mr Risky went to the Phantom (84).

Coming event: The Club Championship will be played across November 7 and 14.
