Pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Red Cliffs this weekend

RED Cliffs Secondary College will this weekend join the list of pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites in a bid to further increase vaccine uptake in the Mildura LGA.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has opened the clinic, offering Pfizer to all eligible people receiving their first dose. However, those receiving their second dose will be given the same vaccine as their first.

Those who receive their first dose of Pfizer this weekend are eligible to reattend the clinic in three weeks for their second dose.

The new pop-up clinic comes as Sunraysia recorded a stunning increase in vaccinations in the face of the current outbreak — hitting 94 per cent for first doses at the weekend.

Due to high demand, the DHHS has advised anyone who already has an upcoming appointment for the vaccine to cancel their appointment if they receive the vaccine at a pop-up clinic.

The clinic will operate between 10am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Walk-ins are accepted or bookings can be made through calling Silverline Health Care Mildura on 5055 5000.

Red Cliffs Secondary College is located at 55 Fitzroy Avenue, Red Cliffs and is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities.
