Where to get vaccinated over Christmas break

THE Sunraysia Community Health Service has suspended its COVID-19 vaccination service until the new year.

New vaccination appointments will be available from January 8 at the service’s Thirteenth Street site. Vaccinations will no longer be available at the army barracks site on San Mateo Ave, which was used as a temporary mass vaccination site.

A spokesperson for the service said suspension of vaccinations was part of the normal Christmas-New year break and that Sunraysia people could still obtain their shots from GPs or participating pharmacies. The Mildura local government area recorded three new COVID-19 cases on Monday, for a total of 40 active cases.

There were 1290 new cases recorded in Victoria on Monday, for a total of 11,649 active cases, and two lives were lost.
