COVID closes aged care facilities

RIVERSIDE and Robinvale aged care campuses have closed to visitors as community COVID cases continue to climb.

Robinvale District Health Services posted the announcement to Facebook on Wednesday night and said the decision was made as per a Public Health Unit directive due to the current COVID situation in Robinvale and Euston.

RDHS said further advice would be issued as soon as it is available.

Family and friends are encouraged by RDHS to stay in touch with their loved ones via phone, email or video call.

Video calls can be arranged through the aged care providers.

Robinvale recorded seven new cases on Thursday, bringing the active total to 30.
