IT took 52 years, but golfer Les Ball says it was a nice feeling to finally get a hole in one.
The 82-year-old golfer was playing the fourth hole as part of the January Monthly Medal round at Riverside Golf Club when he hit his drive straight and the ball rolled into the cup.
Ball said he didn’t see the shot go in and when his playing partner told him it had gone in, he thought he was being lied to.
But his playing partner said he had heard a couple of clicks as the ball fell in the cup at the par-three hole.
Ball said he enjoyed being able to get out on the course to play a round of golf and was glad he could say he had made a hole in one.
