New case number tops 100 again

THE number of new COVID cases in Mildura has topped 100 for the second day in a row.

Another 117 cases were recorded on Tuesday, bringing the number of active cases to 640. Another 10 cases were recorded in the Robinvale postcode, bringing the number of cases there to 58.

Although new case numbers have been dropping across much of the nation, the death toll continues to mount.

 Another 20 fatalities were recorded in Victoria on Tuesday and 12 COVID patients lost their lives in Queensland.  Numbers from NSW and other states were not available at the time of writing.

More than 4200 Australian COVID patients have died since the start of the pandemic.
