Feast of events this Easter

EASTER events are back and bigger than ever this year, with a fun-filled line-up sure to keep everyone of all ages entertained.

Although ski races have been swapped out for an alternative Mildura 100 boat race, powersports competitors will still be bringing their machines down to Langtree Mall to set the scene for an action-packed weekend.

Local clubs including arena motocross, speedway and drag racers will be putting their best utes, motorbikes, vans, trucks, muscle cars and more on display, with the all-important engine start-up due to make noise at 11am.

Shops, markets stalls, local cafes and restaurants will be ready for all passersby throughout the City Heart, with entertainment and fun activities for kids, including a Hot Wheels Live Stunt Show on throughout the day.

Those seeking a gentler pace can enjoy coffee, cakes, Devonshire teas and light lunches at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens, where art and photography works submitted for the Magenta Art Prize will be on display.

Garden tractor train tours operate from 10am and 11am, and a special breakfast of sausages, bacon, veggies, toast and pancakes followed by orange juice or coffee will be held on Easter Saturday.

Alternatively families can enjoy a variety of fun egg-themed activities, and Easter egg hunt at Garden of Hope, or an afternoon of family friendly circus acts at two all-ages Powerhouse Circus Cabaret shows.

The Mildura and Wentworth 2025 Easter Regatta will kick off on Saturday, with more than 100 people from rowing clubs across Victoria and interstate expected to compete.

Easter Saturday will also be the day for Trentham Estate’s Easter on the Lawns including an outdoor food menu, open cellar door and live music from local artist Nicole Matthews.
