VETERAN

THE next district veteran golf day will be held on Monday, April 4 at the Red Cliffs Golf Club.

This month’s event is a single Stableford game with a nearest the pin competition on all par threes. From all reports the course is in excellent condition and the day draws good numbers, as the club always organises a top day.

District events are popular because they provide players with an opportunity to play a different course each month. Players compete for good prizes and a great meal is included. There is a warm welcome at the 19th hole at the conclusion of the game.

New members are most welcome. Male and female players who are triple vaccinated and over 50 are eligible to play. Simply turn up around 8.30am and introduce yourself at the registration table where you will be included in a group by our vice-captain Ned Klemm. A one off $10 joining fee applies.

Registered members will receive a name badge as part of the joining process. Current members who have not received their badges can collect them when registering .

Entry fee of $20 covers green fees, competition entry and lunch. That is tremendous value.

Bring your own cart, hire a club cart or walk. All players are catered for. A shotgun start at 9.30 gets the day underway.

Let’s get behind these great days and demonstrate to our district clubs that we appreciate their support.
