Delivering better outcomes for the Mallee

Anne Webster, sitting member, Nationals

I am passionate about Mallee and our country. There is no better place to live, work and raise a family. When Australia is strong, Mallee is strong.

In my first term, I have prioritised listening to the concerns of Mallee and consequently focusing on improving access to healthcare, and increasing funding for roads, infrastructure and connectivity. I will continue to advocate for better health outcomes, and have brought $2 billion for roads, infrastructure, health, education and aged care in just three years.

Our businesses need the right opportunities and the right people to grow. I will continue to fight for sustainable workforce resolutions for every sector, including agriculture such as the Ag Visa. Labor will scrap the Nationals’ Ag Visa.

Our future in this region relies on healthy waterways and affordable, sustainable, and reliable energy. We now have 11 wind farms and 44 solar farms in Mallee and more in planning.

I have great optimism about our future because we have shown courage and grit over two tough years, however, so much rides on the outcome of this election. It is a choice. A choice for a strong regional Australia or a choice for chaos.

Our world is less stable than at any other time since World War II. The Coalition’s plan to keep Australians safe must be delivered. We will ensure the biggest rebuilding of our defence and security forces since World War II. This is not guaranteed under Labor. The election is a choice between an economy that can support the NDIS, Medicare, hospital and aged care and education, and one under Labor that is uncertain.

It is a choice between an economic recovery that is leading the world, and a Labor-Independent-Green Alliance that would jeopardise it.

Only by voting for the Nationals at this election can you ensure a strong economy for a stronger future.
