Veterans

Recently I have been reminding members that we have a busy and diverse month coming up. The first event will be held on Monday, June 6, at the Riverside Golf Club. It is a single stableford event starting with registration at 8.30am, assembly at 9am and a shotgun start at 9.30am. Two weeks after that we have a 4BBB stableford game at Ouyen.

I had a senior moment last week (I am a veteran) and stated the wrong day. The actual date is Monday, June 20. The registration for that day starts at 9am with an assembly at 9.30am and a shotgun start shortly after that. The later starting time is to give people time to travel. Two weeks later we travel to Red Cliffs for our championship round. That date will be Monday 4th July and we will revert to a 9:30 start.

Each event is varied. The first is an individual event, the second is a pairs event and the final is a championship round.

The game in Ouyen will be played on a genuine country course with sandscrapes instead of the greens that we are familiar with. No matter where we play we can be assured of a warm welcome, a well prepared course. great post game hospitality and a generous lunch. We need to show our appreciation by supporting these clubs by participating in good numbers. So get yourself and your mates organised and be ready for a great month of district golf.Wentworth
