COVID-19 cases up in Mildura as surge continues

COVID numbers continue to climb in Mildura, with another 54 cases reported on Sunday.

This number was a slight drop from previous days, after Friday recorded 73 new cases and Saturday 67.

Mildura had a current rate of 683.1 cases per 100,000. However, this was quite low compared to the rest of Victoria. About 75 per cent of the state’s councils had higher COVID rates per 100,000.

No new cases were reported in Robinvale.

At the start of July, the Mildura local government area was recorded in the bottom 15 per cent of councils for resident take-up rate of a third COVID vaccination.

In Victoria on Sunday there were 23 people in the ICU and two deaths were recorded.
