Time almost up for voter enrolment

TODAY is the final chance for Mildura voters to update their electoral details before the state election later this month.

The Victorian Electoral Commission website states any changes or new enrolments need to be registered with the VEC before 8pm tonight.

Pre-polling will begin Monday November 14 and will be available until the election date at Mildura’s electoral office, 69-71 Lime Avenue, from 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but will also be open to 8pm on November 15, 16, 17 and 24.

Voters are able to register for postal voting until November 23 but the VEC urges people to allow time for the post to arrive.

Early voting has become increasingly popular of the past few elections, with 46.4 per cent of Mallee voters in May submitting their ballot before election day.

The deadline to become a candidate is November 11.
