A SUPPORTER of Mildura election candidate Sonia Brymer has clashed with media at a polling booth after heckling Ali Cupper and then attempting to disrupt a TV interview with the sitting MP.
The unidentified man, wearing a T-shirt carrying Ms Brymer’s name and image, verbally goaded Ms Cupper about mask wearing as she walked into the Ranfurly Primary school polling booth on Ontario Avenue on Saturday morning, and then later stood close to her as she was being interviewed by Channel Nine reporter Laura Turner, attempting to interject as the MP answered questions.
The TV crew was forced to ask the man to stop so they cold complete their interview. He did so, but continued to stand close to Ms Cupper as she answered questions.
A few minutes later, Ms Brymer said told the TV reporter that she knew the man, but would not answer any questions about his behaviour.
A woman who also appeared to be a supporter of Ms Brymer then followed and verbally harassed a Sunraysia Daily photographer as he left the site, accusing him of lying.
