SUNRAYSIA spin bowlers can learn from one of the best as former Australian off-spinner Greg Matthews hosts a masterclass next week.
The free session will be held at Mildura Senior College nets on Thursday, December 8 from 4pm to 5pm, with the session open to all age groups.
Sunraysia Cricket Association is encouraging all interested bowlers to join in the session.
Adam Thomson, who is helping coordinate the masterclass, said it is a great opportunity for spinners of all ages to learn from a man with over 100 international wickets to his name.
“Anyone with his experience in the game would be invaluable to learn from, and he was playing Sydney grade cricket up until a few years ago so knows the modern game pretty well, too,” he said.
“Greg’s here for a luncheon on Friday so we took the opportunity to get him on board for the spin bowling session.”
