SUNRAYSIA’S junior netball representatives have encapsulated the spirit of carnival competition.
That’s according to Sally Moore, who will coach the SFNL Under 17 squad during Saturday’s Dreamtime at the P extravaganza at Mildura Sporting Precinct.
Sunraysia’s juniors will play against Indigenous representative club Mallee Tigers to open the day’s netball action.
Moore said the commitment of the youngsters for the contest, the week prior to the start of their club season, had been second to none.
“I think these Under 17 girls really capture the spirit of this whole event,” she said.
“They are a great example of pride and commitment and they understand it’s a real privilege to have an opportunity like this.
“I could have a maximum of 12 players in a squad and I’ve got a full 12, which shows how much they want this and how excited they are for the chance to play there.
“They’re on earlier in the day at about 1.30pm, so all the girls have their friends and family coming along, which is a great opportunity.”
