Premiers ready to reset

COACH: Samantha Garraway

ARRIVALS: N/A

DEPARTURES: N/A

REIGNING premiers Bambill are hoping they can bring the heat again this year to earn themselves another grand final win.

Finishing last year’s home-and-away rounds in third, Bambill fought their way through the finals to defeat Cardross, Werrimull and then ultimately Nangiloc in the deciding game.

The Demons were the more-fancied side for the win, but Bambill maintained a steady lead, proving anything could happen come the end.

Samantha Garraway, who co-coached last season, is returning as a solo coach this year without Tess Houkamau, who was a star player on the court for the team.

Bambill co-ordinator Ebony Roberts said the team had a strong focus on fitness leading into the season.

“We are just trying to get fit and then we will start on the netball skills,” she said.

Roberts said the team were aiming for another premiership, but were aware they had to put in the work to get there.

Bambill take on Gol Gol at Alcheringa Oval for the first match of the season next Friday.
