Gateway a finalist in prestigious awards

THE Mildura Gateway was a finalist in three categories in what many consider Victoria’s most prestigious hospitality awards.

Best Outdoor Experience, Best Retail Liquor Outlet and Best Sports Bar were areas recognised by the Australian Hotels Association Victoria Awards.

This comes just two months after the locally owned and operated pub won River 1467 AM’s best bar, club or pub award which was conducted through a public survey.

Management accountant Ashley Cronin said that it was nice to have all their hard work acknowledged.

“We were very humbled and proud to be recognised at that level,” she said.

“We’ve been serving the community since 1990, and I think that our refurbishments have just lifted us in that area.

“I think we have a friendly environment, people love our staff and of course our food and beverage.

“We appreciate the community and their support for helping us to get recognised and nominated at that level.”
