Exploring the great outdoors

CARAVAN and camping enthusiasts were out and about for the start of the Mildura Great Outdoor and 4 x 4 Expo on Friday.

The three-day event features state-of-the-art caravans, campers and a number of accessories for those keen to explore the outdoors in style.

Apache Caravans RV technician Brent McAlister has worked at 11 shows since April.

“We put a lot of effort into them (caravans and campers) and so do our competitors,” he said.

“I’ve been doing this for nearly 30 years now, you start to meet everyone else including the other dealers and everyone gets along pretty well.

“Obviously it’s a good day out for anyone and Mildura is a fitting location.”
