Local boxers primed for huge fight night at Hothouse

SATURDAY’S Hogarth Cup is shaping up to be an action-packed event with seven boxers from three local clubs looking to give the city fighters a hostile welcome to Mildura.

Tournament hosts Ladd’s Boxing Club will be putting five fighters forward with the potential for two more last minute matches.

The event will be headlined by the always exciting Gab Toutai who has had a busy year fighting in the recent Super 8s tournament and recently returning from a camp at the AIS.

Fighters Jack Evans, Bodhi Kane, Hamish Berry and Robert Burns will round out the remaining Ladd’s team with each expected to showcase their diverse range of boxing styles.

Sparks are bound to fly when Iron Fist’s Egemen Keleser rematches hard hitting Siren Bell in a classic pressure fighter versus back foot boxer match up.

In their previous meeting, Keleser demonstrated his footwork and long range boxing prowess to come away with the win and viewers can expect another exciting fight from the two hard working pugilists.

A challenger belt will also be on the line when The Boxing Cartel’s talented young light heavy weight Luke Hutchinson takes on West Centrals Luka Uzelac in the penultimate bout.

The event held at the Hothouse will feature 22 bouts with doors opening at 5pm and the first fight at 6pm.

Tickets can be purchased online at $35 for general admission and $20 for concession.
