Wins for top two teams

BAMBILL maintained top spot on the Millewa A Grade netball ladder with a clinical 23-goal win against Meringur on Saturday.

Samantha Garraway, Ebony Roberts and Brea Sanford led the way for the Saints, who have only lost one of their 12 games this season.

They remain two points clear of arch rivals Nangiloc, who edged third-placed Werrimull 40-35 in a tight contest.

Chloe Nelson, Gabrielle Gardner and Ginine Sluiter were named as Nangiloc’s best players.

In the day’s other contest, fourth-placed Gol Gol defeated Cardross 47-38.

With three rounds left in the home-and-away season, the battle to be minor premiers could well come down to the final-round clash between the Saints and Demons.
