IRYMPLE PLAYER PROFILES

Bryson Lush – Coach

PROVEN top-order run scorer and one of the best wicket-taking spinners in the competition.

The left-hander has put together a consistent season but will have the appetite to influence the grand final.

Mark Thomson – Captain

YET another superb season from the highly credentialed all-rounder, whose batting has been the shining light for the season.

Finally breaking his triple-figure hoodoo, Thomson has made three centuries and two half-centuries, on the way to 610 runs for the campaign.

Billy Phelan – Vice Captain

A BREAK-out season as a frontline bowler in the SCA, Phelan is the leading wicket taker in the competition with 32 scalps.

The 21-year-old has taken three wickets in six innings this year, and compiled 230 runs with the bat.

Bailey Anderson

Another of the Swallows fast bowling cartel, Anderson is already a proven performer in first division cricket.

The young gun has 20 wickets for the season, including 11 in his past six games to hit form at the right time.

Jarrad Armsden

The fast scoring middle-to-lower order batsman has played a pivotal role late in the innings for the Swallows across the year.

Armsden has 291 runs at 32, including an unbeaten century in his most recent outing.

David Filippi

The most consistent first division season for the right-hander, who has improved as the year progressed.

Often batting at number three, Filippi has 338 runs for the year, with 216 of those coming from his past six innings.

Daniel Frasca

A consistent presence in the Irymple first division team following a number of years featuring across both the top two grades.

Frasca has made 217 runs for the season, with one of his best performances coming against East early in the season.

Jordan Payne

The wicket-keeper batsman has often been tasked with pushing the run rate late in the innings, scoring 200 so far.

Payne also has 17 dismissals behind the stumps including three stumpings, the second most in the competition.

Riley Payne

A recent call-up from second division who has held his place opening the batting alongside captain Thomson.

While his scores haven’t been significant as yet, he features in the top 10 run scorers in seconds with 309.

Domenic Price

Dangerous on his day, the pace bowler has a combined 22 wickets across first and second division this season.

Price features as one of a number of bowlers who could take the new ball if required.

Chase Stone

The tall pace bowler has 20 wickets to his name for the season with 13 coming in the firsts.

Stone took 4/38 in the Swallows most recent premiership victory back in 2018.

Nick Giofre

Has mostly played second XI cricket this season but is a seasoned campaigner in the top flight.

Can provide extra batting depth and play as a back-up wicket keeper.
