MILDURA Council risked stagnating a plan to further beautify and develop the riverfront precinct if it choose not to apply for government grants to fund the project, councillors have been told.

Council this week endorsed the move to seek $10 million from the Federal Government and $500,000 from the state as part of the full $29.5 million second stage of the redevelopment.
