SUNRAYSIA residents have been advised that external restrictions have been lifted.
Lower Murray Water issued a statement on Wednesday to alert residents using water from the Mildura water treatment plants that outdoor use restrictions had been removed.
Lower Murray Water Managing Director Anthony Couroupis thanked the community for their cooperation over the past 48 hours.
“It is extremely pleasing to see how the community has responded by significantly reducing water demand,” he said.
“This has enabled normal operating levels of our water treatment plants to be restored earlier than originally anticipated.
“Removing these emergency restrictions has been our highest priority over the past 48 hours.”
Lower Murray Water will continue to monitor water quality as residents return to the Stage 1 water restrictions.
Mildura Council announced the water play park would reopen at 2pm Wednesday.
Our Water Play Park will reopen at 2pm today following the lifting of emergency water restrictions. The park will operate under its normal hours from today.
