WENTWORTH Shire's April meeting saw councillors sign off on more than $1.2 million in purchases and event sponsorship.

The most significant item was discussed confidentially, where a decision was made to accept a $1.12 million tender for the supply of a Bomag BC773 RB-5 landfill compactor.
