A FATHER and daughter ski racing team from Wallan have escaped serious injury after their boat overturned near Bruce's Bend on Sunday during the Mildura 100 Boat Race.

Courtney and Kevin Grech were flung into the Murray River at about 11.15am after what was described as a small mechanical failure on their boat ButterBox during the first leg of the S1 - 65mph category.
