A SERIAL thief described as a "one-man crime wave" who stole goods largely to maintain his addiction to heroin has been jailed.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard 46-year-old Matthew McTeare committed three burglaries, "countless" deceptions and "innumerable" thefts including signed Ron Barassi football jumpers, alcohol
